WHO I AM

Yunhee Chang is an applied economist specializing in consumer finance, nutrition, and health among disadvantaged populations. Her recent research is focused around household food insecurity, federal food assistance programs, measures of food access, and nutritional disparity. At the University of Mississippi, she teaches Consumer Economics, Nutrition Policy, and Statistics in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management. She is also affiliated with the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies, and Interdisciplinary Certificate Program in Applied Statistics at the University. She received her PhD in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with specializations in Family & Consumer Economics, Labor Economics, and Econometrics. She is an active member of American Council on Consumer Interests, Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, and International Association for Time Use Research.
